Sirajul Haq urges PM to convene moot on Gaza

Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) chief Sirajul Haq Sunday said the people of Palestine had laid down their lives for upholding Islam, and regretted the ‘graveyard-like silence’ in the Muslim world over the Israeli aggression in Gaza.

“Fire sparked by explosives rages in Gaza, destroying localities of innocent people,” Sirajul Haq said, urging the Muslim leadership to join hands and preserve their honour against the barbarism being unleashed on the innocent people of Gaza.

The JI chief said that he had appealed Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to convene a meeting over the issue of Gaza. He said that he had also written a letter to the Muslim leaders across the world, including Saudi King Shah Abdullah.

Sirajul Haq also lauded Saeeda Warsi for her resignation from the UK government over its policy on Gaza.
