Liaqat gymnasium, located in Islamabad Sports Complex, is undergoing renovation after 30 years.
The gymnasium, one of the biggest gyms in the city for indoor games, had been in deplorable condition for some time. Renovation work is going on to repair washrooms, Ceilings, meeting rooms, rest and changing room, cafeteria and refreshment centre which had become unusable.
According to Pakistan Sports Board Director General Akhtar Nawaz Ganjera the gymnasium structure had become depleted over the years and was in dire need of repair.
