Directorate system of Education Department to be revived in Punjab
Punjab Education Department has decided to revive the old directorate system throughout the province.
Under the system, divisional directorates will be reopened and Grade-20 officers will be deputed as directors. Besides directors, one deputy director, two assistant directors and other staff of 12 officials will be deployed.
The education directorate system was closed in 2001 by former president General (r) Pervez Musharraf after the implementation of local district government.
The Education Department has sent a summary in this regard to Punjab Chief Minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif for approval.
