55.02 percent voter turnout in May 11 elections: ECP

The turnout in the May 11 general elections was 55.02 percent, according to the official data released by the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Tuesday.

According to details ‚ over 46.2 million people came out to cast their votes.

Furthermore, the data also revealed that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) secured the highest number of votes of over 14.8 million. Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) stood second by bagging over 7.6 million votes.
