ANF seizes 4,478 kg hashish

Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) on Wednesday foiled an attempt to smuggle 4,478 kilograms of hashish during a raid in Qila Abdullah Balochistan.

According to the details, ANF received information that some international drug traffickers had brought a huge quantity of hashish from Afghanistan and had stored it in District Qila Abdullah which would be later smuggled to Iran. On confirmation of the information, the area was cordoned off and a raid was conducted in which 4,478 kilograms of hashish was recovered from a hut.

A case was registered against unknown persons under CNS Act-1997 and further investigations are underway.

An ANF spokesman said the ANF had made record seizures of drugs which showed the devotion of the force towards making this region drug-free.
