Rain turns weather cold in Punjab

The Pakistan Meteorological Department has predicted widespread rain for most parts of the country during the next 48 hours with chances of heavy snowfall over the hills.

Widespread snowfall, heavy at times, is expected over the hills of Malakand, Hazara, Murree, Galiyat, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir, a private news channel reported.

Hailing is also expected at isolated places in the plains of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and Punjab, including Islamabad during the period.

Meanwhile, weather turned pleasant in Punjab after rain lashed most cities of the province.

Temperature of some major cities recorded on Saturday morning was: Islamabad 10 degree Centigrade, Lahore and Muzaffarabad 8, Karachi 16, Peshawar 11, Quetta 0, Gilgit 5 and Murree 2 degree centigrade.
