President ML-Q Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain said the Kalabagh Dam (KBD) could not be built against the wishes of Sindhis and political parties should respect their sentiments.
Shujaat said PML-Q, being a major political party in the country, is concerned with the issues in all the provinces.
He urged the political leaders to initiate power projects like Thar coal and wind projects to overcome the energy deficit, adding that the people have been lied to, for the last thirty years, saying the consensus was being developed among the people for building KBD.
He termed the KBD a dead project and advised leaders not to exploit the issue anymore.
