Finance Minister Abdul Hafeez Sheikh has said that the present democratic government has the credit of giving Rs5000 billion to the provinces.
Addressing the Developmental Economic Society function on Tuesday, he said due to the change in the National Finance Commission formula, additional one thousand billion rupees were given to the province during the last two years.
He further said 260 billion rupees were distributed among three million poor families in the country.
