At least eight more people were killed in ongoing wave of violence here in the city.

According to police, three men were shot dead in a firing incident that occurred in Mehmoodabad area of the city.

The incident occurred in Adam Basti of Mehmoodabad where unidentified gunmen killed the men.

Earlier, a man was shot dead in a firing incident that occurred in Orangi Town. In Yousuf Goth, Baldia Town a young man was also shot dead.

In a separate incident, unidentified gunmen entered a sweet shop at Ayesha Manzil and started firing, killing Qasim Ali. He was resident of Liaqatabad.

Sidiq Jan was killed in a firing incident near People’s Chowrangi, North Nazimabad.

A tortured dead body of a youth was found from Khayaban-e-Rahat, Defence.

On the other hand, police and rangers arrested more than 40 suspects during a search operation in Karachi’s violence-hit areas.
