Another unit of Jamshoro Thermal Power Plant goes dysfunctional

Different areas of Sindh had to face lengthy hours of load shedding as power supply went short following another unit of Jamshoro Thermal Power Plant going dysfunctional due to technical fault on Sunday.

It is pertinent to mention here that three out of four units of Jamshoro Thermal Power Plant now stand dysfunctional.

According to details, a boiler leakage led to the closure of Unit No. 4 at the power plant, whereas two units (No.2 and No. 3) were already sitting cold.

It has also been learnt that technical faults had kept the same unit out of generation for at least one week and was repaired only a couple of days earlier.
