KPK doctors go on strike

Following in the footsteps of their Punjab’s counterparts, three main hospitals of Peshawar and Ayub Medical Complex, Abbottabad of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province have gone on strike, leading to difficulties for patients.

According to details, young doctors held a protest in front of Khyber Teaching Hospital and Lady Reading Hospital, and chanted slogans against the administration.

Protesting doctors were demanding change in service structure, provision of special services package and hiring of unemployed doctors through Public Service Commission.

The doctors warned that if their demands were not met by next Wednesday, they would stage protests across the province.

Patients are facing severe difficulties at Lad Reading Hospital, Hayatabad Medical Complex and Khyber Teaching Hospital in Peshawar.
