PTA clarifies TikTok Live remains accessible in Pakistan
Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) dismisses claims of a nationwide TikTok Live ban, saying it issued no directive to block the feature. Any access problems, PTA notes, could stem from technical disruptions.

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has clarified that TikTok Live has not been banned in Pakistan, dismissing reports suggesting that the feature had been blocked nationwide.
The clarification came after users reported difficulties accessing TikTok Live, sparking speculation on social media that the platform's live-streaming feature had been restricted.
PTA said it has not issued any directive to block TikTok Live and confirmed that the service remains available in the country.
The regulator indicated that any temporary disruptions experienced by users could be linked to technical issues rather than regulatory action.
TikTok has previously faced temporary restrictions in Pakistan over concerns related to content moderation, but the platform's live-streaming feature continues to operate without any official ban.
