FDE to post 271 new teachers in federal institutions

The Federal Directorate of Education says 271 newly selected teachers will join federal educational institutions during the summer vacations. The announcement was made at a meeting reviewing college performance, teaching standards and administrative matters.

FDE to post 271 new teachers in federal institutions

ISLAMABAD: The Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) will place 271 newly selected teachers in federal educational institutions during the upcoming summer vacations, according to FDE Director General Javaid Iqbal Mirza.

Mirza shared the update while presiding over a meeting of principals from federal colleges, where participants reviewed steps linked to academic improvement, institutional performance and the adoption of a modern teaching system in colleges. The newly inducted educators were recruited on the recommendations of the Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC).

The meeting also took up the overall performance of colleges in detail, including teaching standards, students’ academic progress and administrative issues. At the start of the session, Director Colleges Professor Shahid Abbasi welcomed the FDE director general on behalf of the principals and congratulated him on his appointment.

Addressing the meeting, Mirza said college principals have an important role in advancing quality education. The session centered on decisions aimed at improving standards in federal educational institutions and strengthening college performance.
