Monkey turns tree into an ATM after snatching lawyer’s cash-filled bag

Somewhere in Uttar Pradesh, a monkey woke up and decided to become the main character of the day.

What began as an ordinary day for a lawyer in Bulandshahr quickly turned into a scene straight out of a comedy movie when a monkey reportedly snatched his bag containing ₹2 lakh in cash and made a daring escape.

But the theft was only the beginning.

Instead of running away with the loot, the monkey climbed a nearby tree, opened the bag, and started pulling out bundles of cash.

Then came the moment nobody was prepared for.

The monkey began tossing ₹500 notes into the air, creating what witnesses described as a full-blown "money shower" as stunned onlookers watched currency flutter down from the tree.

Within minutes, people had gathered below, looking up in disbelief as the self-appointed financial minister continued distributing wealth from his leafy headquarters.

Videos from the scene show the monkey sitting comfortably on a branch while notes rained down around him, turning an unfortunate theft into one of the internet's funniest viral moments.

Eventually, after what reports describe as a lengthy recovery effort, the bag was retrieved. Thankfully for the lawyer, not all of the money ended up funding the monkey's surprise economic reform programme.

Social media, however, has been having the time of its life.

Many users joked that the monkey had launched a better wealth redistribution scheme than some governments, while others pointed out that if someone had told them a monkey was handing out free money from a tree, they would never have believed it.

For one brief moment, though, a monkey in Uttar Pradesh achieved what many humans can only dream of:
