ISLAMABAD: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi on Wednesday approached the Islamabad High Court seeking permission to meet PTI founder Imran Khan for consultations on the province’s upcoming budget.
Speaking to reporters outside the court alongside KP Finance Adviser Muzammil Aslam, the chief minister said the meeting was needed because the provincial budget had already been prepared and required what he described as final input from the PTI founder.
Afridi said the public mandate given in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was tied to Imran Khan’s political vision, and said consultation with him on the budget was therefore essential.
The request was filed in the IHC on Wednesday, according to the chief minister’s remarks to reporters outside the court.
