Lahore Qalandars confirm Global Super League 2026 return

Pakistan Super League champions Lahore Qalandars are set to compete in the 2026 Global Super League, which will be held from July 23 to August 1 at the Guyana National Stadium.

The three-time PSL winners have confirmed their return after taking part in the tournament’s inaugural edition. Their participation will once again place one of Pakistan’s leading T20 franchises on the international stage in a competition that brings together top teams from different leagues.

The tournament is expected to feature prominent franchise sides from around the world, with Lahore Qalandars looking to deliver another strong showing in overseas competition.

Over the years, the franchise has built a strong identity in T20 cricket through its on-field success and widespread popularity. That standing has helped make Lahore Qalandars one of the most recognizable teams to emerge from the PSL.

Team owner Sameen Rana said the franchise was delighted to return to the tournament and represent Pakistan once again in a major international franchise event.

He said the competition provides an important opportunity to showcase the team’s talent, culture, and ambition to a broader audience, while also giving emerging players a valuable platform to prove themselves.

Global Super League chairman Clive Lloyd also welcomed Lahore Qalandars back, saying their inclusion would strengthen both the quality and profile of the tournament.

The squad for the competition will be announced at a later date.

For now, Lahore Qalandars are focused on PSL 11 as they aim to reclaim the title and become the first team to win the tournament four times.
