Iftar timings for the last day of Ramazan 1447 AH across Pakistan's major cities

ISLAMABAD: As the holy month of Ramazan 1447 AH draws to a close, here are the Iftar timings for the 30th and final fast for Pakistan's federal and provincial capitals, according to both Fiqh-i-Hanafia and Fiqh-i-Jafria schools of thought.

Islamabad

In the federal capital Islamabad, the Iftar time as per Fiqh-i-Hanafia is 6:20pm, while the Iftar time according to Fiqh-i-Jafria is 6:30pm.

Karachi

For the port city of Karachi, the Iftar time according to Fiqh-i-Hanafia is 6:44pm, whereas the Iftar time as per Fiqh-i-Jafria is 6:57pm.

Lahore

In the Punjab capital Lahore, the Iftar time as per Fiqh-i-Hanafia is 6:14pm, while the Iftar time according to Fiqh-i-Jafria is 6:24pm.

Peshawar

For the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa capital Peshawar, the Iftar time according to Fiqh-i-Hanafia is 6:26pm, and the Iftar time as per Fiqh-i-Jafria is 6:36pm.

Quetta

In the Balochistan capital Quetta, the Iftar time as per Fiqh-i-Hanafia is 6:45pm, while the Iftar time according to Fiqh-i-Jafria is 7:03pm.

The timings vary across the two major Islamic jurisprudential schools followed in Pakistan. The Fiqh-i-Jafria timings are consistently later than the Fiqh-i-Hanafia timings across all five cities, with the difference ranging from approximately 10 to 18 minutes depending on the location.

Among the five cities, Lahore has the earliest Iftar time at 6:14pm according to Fiqh-i-Hanafia, while Quetta has the latest Iftar time at 7:03pm according to Fiqh-i-Jafria.

Muslims across Pakistan will observe the last fast of Ramazan 1447 AH today, with the sighting of the Shawwal moon expected to determine the date of Eid ul Fitr celebrations.
