SHARJAH: The Pakistan Social Centre in Sharjah, one of the largest hubs for the Pakistani community in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), has announced financial aid for the families of Pakistani martyrs residing in the UAE.
Consul General of Pakistan in Dubai, Hussain Mohammad, along with Pakistani expatriates, expressed gratitude to overseas Pakistanis for their solidarity with the families of the martyrs.
Community rallies behind martyrs' families
The announcement by the Pakistan Social Centre in Sharjah reflects the strong sense of community among overseas Pakistanis in the UAE, who have come together to support the families of those who made the ultimate sacrifice for the country. The centre, which serves as a major gathering point for Pakistanis living in the Emirates, has taken the lead in organising the financial assistance initiative.
The gesture has been welcomed by Pakistani diplomatic officials stationed in the UAE, with Consul General Hussain Mohammad acknowledging the role of the Pakistani diaspora in extending support during difficult times. The consul general and members of the expatriate community thanked overseas Pakistanis for standing in solidarity with the bereaved families.
Pakistan Social Centre's role in the community
The Pakistan Social Centre in Sharjah has long served as one of the most prominent community organisations for Pakistanis in the UAE. It regularly organises events and welfare initiatives aimed at supporting the Pakistani community abroad. The latest announcement regarding financial aid for martyrs' families underscores the centre's continued commitment to welfare activities that benefit Pakistanis in the Emirates and their families back home.
The Pakistani community in the UAE is one of the largest expatriate groups in the Gulf nation, and community organisations such as the Pakistan Social Centre play a vital role in maintaining cultural ties and providing support networks for nationals living away from home.
