Hurriyat leader congratulates newly elected National Press Club officials
Hurriyat leader Abdul Hameed Lone has congratulated the newly elected National Press Club officials in Islamabad, praising their role in promoting press freedom and highlighting issues faced by Kashmiris.

ISLAMABAD: Hurriyat leader Abdul Hameed Lone has extended his congratulations to the newly elected office-bearers of the National Press Club (NPC) in Islamabad.
According to an official statement, Lone expressed his best wishes to the new NPC leadership, acknowledging the important role that journalists play in society. He highlighted the significance of the press in upholding democratic values and promoting freedom of expression.
In his message, Lone stated, "The media is a vital pillar of democracy, and the role of journalists in highlighting the issues faced by the people of Kashmir is commendable." He further urged the new NPC body to continue their efforts in supporting the cause of press freedom and to raise awareness about the challenges faced by the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).
Lone also emphasized the need for solidarity among journalists and called on the NPC to maintain its tradition of advocating for the rights of media professionals. He expressed hope that the new leadership would work for the welfare of journalists and contribute positively to the media landscape in Pakistan.
