Viewers left speechless as man confesses his biggest regret on live Ramzan transmission

A recent Ramzan transmission, Ramzan k Rang, in Pakistan took an unexpectedly shocking turn when a man called in with a confession that left the hosts and audience speechless.

The caller revealed that three years ago he lost his wife while gambling.

“Jee, mera sawal ye hai k main na aaj se teen saal pehlay main jua khelta tha tou main juay mein apni wife haar gaya hun,” he said, explaining how one reckless act had destroyed his life and family.

The hosts repeatedly responded with “Astaghfirullah,” visibly shocked by the man’s story. The male host added, “Sharam ani chahiye apko yaar,” while the female host gasped, “Oh my godddd.”

The caller then asked the hosts and scholars for guidance on how he could atone for his mistake and seek forgiveness: “Main kaisay is ghunah ka azaalah kar sakta hun?”

Things took an even darker turn when the hosts asked where his wife was, and he revealed he had seen her at an adda, implying a brothel, just a few days prior. And also that he has not divorced her.

The broadcast immediately sparked online discussions. Many viewers were horrified and empathetic, sharing “Astaghfirullah” reactions across social media. Some criticized the muftis and hosts, saying that instead of addressing such real-life problems, they focus on marrying 16-year-olds, multiple wives, and joint family system issues.

One comment even accused Ramadan shows of faking calls for viewership, though the emotional weight of this confession made it feel disturbingly real.

As one user put it: “Ye wali transmission koi ni dekh rha tha ab dekhenge log.”

Whether viewers believe the call was authentic or staged, the raw emotion of a man pleading for forgiveness left a mark — proving that some lessons, and some regrets, resonate far beyond the television screen.
