CPNE welcomes Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa government's move to clear newspaper dues

ISLAMABAD: The Council of Pakistan Newspaper Editors (CPNE) has expressed appreciation for the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) government's recent decision to clear outstanding dues owed to newspapers.

According to an official statement issued by the CPNE, the organization welcomed the provincial government's initiative, describing it as a positive step towards supporting the media industry. The CPNE highlighted that the timely payment of dues would help address the financial challenges faced by newspapers, particularly in the current economic climate.

The statement further noted that the CPNE views the K-P government's decision as an acknowledgment of the important role played by newspapers in society.
