Fifteen militants killed in intelligence-based operations in Balochistan

ISLAMABAD: Security forces have killed 15 militants during a series of intelligence-based operations (IBOs) conducted in Balochistan, according to an official statement released on Sunday.

The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) stated that the operations were carried out in the Sambaza area of Zhob district and in the Nagao Mountains of Kalat district. The ISPR said, “Security forces conducted IBOs in Sambaza, Zhob and Nagao Mountains, Kalat, on reported presence of terrorists.”

According to the statement, the operations resulted in the killing of 12 militants in Sambaza and three in Kalat. The ISPR further noted that a large cache of arms, ammunition, and explosives was recovered during the raids. The official statement added, “Sanitization operations are being carried out to eliminate any other terrorists found in the area.”

The ISPR emphasized that Pakistan’s security forces remain committed to eradicating the threat of terrorism and safeguarding the country’s peace and stability. The statement said, “Pakistan’s security forces stand resolute and committed to eliminating the menace of terrorism from the country.”

Balochistan has experienced a surge in violence in recent months, with several attacks targeting security personnel and infrastructure. The province has long been affected by militant activity, and security forces regularly conduct operations to counter these threats.
