Sindh, Mobilink Bank Launch Rs1bn Fund for MSME Financing
Sindh Enterprise Development Fund and Mobilink Bank have partnered to provide up to Rs1 billion in financing for MSMEs across priority sectors, aiming to reduce borrowing costs and stimulate economic activity in the province.

The Sindh Enterprise Development Fund (SEDF) and Mobilink Bank have announced a five-year partnership aimed at expanding access to structured financing for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) across Sindh. The collaboration is set to unlock up to Rs1 billion in financing by leveraging Mobilink Bank’s lending capabilities alongside SEDF’s markup subsidy support.
The initiative is designed to reduce the cost of capital for entrepreneurs and stimulate sustainable economic activity throughout the province. The partnership will particularly strengthen financing ecosystems for sectors that have been underserved or are considered high-impact. These sectors include agricultural value chains, livestock and dairy, poultry, fisheries, cold storage and logistics, renewable and alternative energy solutions, women-led enterprises, mining and mineral processing, as well as innovation-driven IT projects.
Under the terms of the partnership, Mobilink Bank will provide short-, medium-, and long-term financing options to MSMEs. SEDF will support these loans by offering a markup subsidy of up to one-year Kibor or 10 percent, familiar with the agreement. This subsidy is expected to make borrowing more affordable for entrepreneurs and businesses operating in the targeted sectors.
Officials stated that the collaboration aims to address the financing needs of MSMEs, which are often constrained by limited access to affordable credit. By combining financial resources and expertise, the initiative seeks to promote inclusive economic growth and support the development of priority sectors in Sindh.
The partnership between SEDF and Mobilink Bank is expected to play a significant role in fostering entrepreneurship and innovation in the province. Sources indicate that the program will focus on both traditional and emerging sectors, with a particular emphasis on supporting women-led enterprises and technology-driven projects.
