Bulleh Shah Express to Resume Kasur-Pakpattan Service from May 28

The Federal Minister for Railways, Hanif Abbasi, announced on Tuesday that the Bulleh Shah Express, operating between Kasur and Pakpattan, will resume service starting May 28. The train service had previously been suspended on November 15, 2011.

The announcement was made following a meeting at the Ministry of Railways, attended by Punjab Assembly Speaker Malik Mohammad Ahmed Khan and Minister of State Malik Rashid Ahmed Khan. The meeting focused on issues affecting the residents of Kasur district and its surrounding areas, including travel challenges and development projects.

During the meeting, a formal request was submitted for the revival of the 257-Up/258-Down Bulleh Shah Passenger Train. Federal Minister Hanif Abbasi approved the request and confirmed that the Bulleh Shah Express would resume operations along its previous route.

The train's route includes stops at Kasur, Usmanwala, Kanganpur, Mandi Ahmedabad, Basirpur, Haveli Wasavewala, and concludes at Pakpattan. Officials stated that the resumption of this service is expected to provide improved travel options for residents along the route.

Further details regarding the train's schedule and ticketing were not disclosed in the announcement. The decision to reinstate the Bulleh Shah Express was made in response to local demands and is aimed at addressing transportation needs in the region.
