Arrangements Reviewed for Repolling in Kalat's PB-36 Constituency

The Provincial Election Commissioner of Balochistan chaired a meeting on Tuesday to assess preparations for the upcoming repolling at seven polling stations in the PB-36 provincial assembly constituency in Kalat. The repolling is scheduled to take place on March 10.

The meeting was held at the office of Provincial Election Commissioner Ali Asghar Sial. It was attended by several senior officials, including Joint Election Commissioner Wasim Ahmed Jaffery, Regional Election Commissioner Sikandar Ali Jamali, Kalat Commissioner Tufail Ahmed Baloch, and DIG Wazir Khan Nasir.

During the session, participants reviewed various measures aimed at ensuring that the repolling process is conducted transparently and peacefully. Security arrangements were a key focus of the discussions, with particular attention given to the deployment of Army personnel at polling stations identified as highly sensitive.

Ali Asghar Sial, the election commissioner, instructed the relevant officials to appoint only impartial personnel at the polling stations. He also emphasized the need for comprehensive security measures to be implemented. According to reports, Sial directed that steps should be taken to prevent any disruptions during the repolling process.

The officials present at the meeting agreed on the importance of maintaining a secure environment to facilitate a fair electoral process. The deployment of security forces, especially at sensitive locations, was highlighted as a critical component of the overall arrangements.
