Fans awaiting the next chapter in Rockstar’s blockbuster franchise may finally have reason for optimism. Reports suggest that Take-Two Interactive has reassured both Sony and Microsoft that there are currently no plans to delay GTA 6 again, keeping its November 19 console release date intact.
The update comes after two previous postponements for the highly anticipated title from Rockstar Games. While the studio has officially confirmed the November 19 launch, uncertainty has lingered among fans given the game’s history of delays. Another setback would not only frustrate players but could also disrupt launch schedules across the wider gaming industry.
The latest claim originates from online leaker Millie A, who posted on X that Take-Two has formally informed platform holders that the game remains on schedule. The post mentioned a release within the current fiscal year, though the November launch date would actually fall into the next fiscal cycle beginning April 1, 2026. Despite that discrepancy, the core assertion — that the game is on track — has sparked cautious optimism.
Interestingly, the same source had earlier suggested a second delay when the title was first moved from its original fall 2025 window to May 2026. At that time, a September release was speculated, but the launch was ultimately pushed further to November. Whether the latest reassurance proves accurate remains to be seen.
GTA 6 is set to debut on consoles first, with a PC release expected at least a year later. Pricing rumours have also surfaced, pointing to a possible $100 console price tag based on a leaked £89.99 European listing. The PC edition, according to speculation, could launch at around $80, though no official pricing details have been confirmed.
The game’s release window is being closely watched across the industry. There have already been reports suggesting that major titles — including Microsoft’s upcoming Fable — may have adjusted timelines to avoid clashing with GTA 6. If Rockstar meets its November target, it could dominate the holiday season; if not, publishers may once again be forced to reshuffle their plans.
