ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday extended his heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to the people of Pakistan and Muslims around the world on the arrival of the blessed and spiritually significant holy month of Ramazan.

In his message on the occasion of Ramazan 1447 Hijra, the prime minister described the month as a special blessing from Almighty Allah, offering Muslims the opportunity to renew devotion, humility in worship, righteousness, piety, and spiritual purification.

He emphasized that Ramazan reminds both individuals and communities that the true spirit of worship lies in reforming one’s character, practicing mutual sacrifice and compassion, and fulfilling social responsibilities and rights of others.

“Fasting is not merely the observance of a religious obligation; it is practical training in patience, discipline, and a sense of responsibility in daily life,” the prime minister was quoted as saying by the PM Office Media Wing.

Highlighting the collective dimension of the month, he noted that Ramazan conveys the message of goodwill and social solidarity, particularly emphasizing care for the underprivileged segments of society.

The prime minister highlighted that the government has launched a Ramazan Package to provide maximum support to vulnerable groups. Under this initiative, financial assistance will be transferred to deserving individuals in a dignified manner through digital wallets, ensuring that every household can partake in the blessings of Sehri and Iftar.

He prayed that Almighty Allah grants the nation the strength to follow the teachings of the Holy Quran, the example of Uswa-e-Hasana, and the practical lessons of this sacred month.

The prime minister also prayed for the acceptance of individual and collective acts of worship, asking Allah Almighty to guide Pakistan toward peace, stability, progress, and prosperity.
