ISLAMABAD: Dehli-based defense experts have rubbished Indian Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan’s claims about India’s Operation Sindoor, saying Pakistan’s operation Bunyanum Marsoos was a success.
According to Kashmir Media Service, speaking at a seminar hosted by the Indian Army’s Southern Command in Pune, Gen Chauhan had claimed that Pakistan’s claims of “victory” in the May conflict were based on “mere rhetoric” and that India had inflicted significant losses on Pakistan during the operation.
According to Gen Chauhan, over 13 Pakistani airbases were hit and multiple terror camps were struck during the operation, runways damaged, airfields crippled, and air defence systems dysfunctional.
However, defense experts say Gen Chauhan’s claims are exaggerated and lack concrete evidence. “The India’s CDS is trying to spin a narrative that doesn’t hold up to scrutiny. Pakistan’s operation was a targeted strike against Indian targets, and India’s response was inadequate,” said a senior defense analyst. “It’s unfortunate that our military leadership is resorting to such rhetoric rather than focusing on actual capabilities,” added the expert.
