PTI nominates MPs for panel on CEC selection

Opposition Leader in the National Assembly, Omar Ayub, has sent six names from the opposition to Speaker Ayaz Sadiq for the formation of a parliamentary committee tasked with selecting a new Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) and two members of the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP).

Ayub shared a letter dated June 2, 2025, on social media, in which he nominated the members from the opposition side to be part of the process for selecting the CEC and the members for Balochistan and Sindh.
