Khyber Pakhtunkhwa revises school hours amid cold weather

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has revised school timings in the province’s plain areas in response to an ongoing severe cold spell.

According to a notification issued by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Education Department, the updated schedule will come into effect from January 16, following the conclusion of winter vacations.

Under the revised timings, primary schools in the plain areas will operate from 9:00 am to 1:30 pm. Middle, high, and higher secondary schools will run from 9:00 am to 2:20 pm.

Officials said the decision was taken to safeguard students from the harsh weather conditions currently affecting the region.
