KARACHI: Fahad Mustafa will share the screen with his father, veteran actor Salahuddin Tunio, for the first time in the upcoming film *Aag Lagi Basti Mein*, which is set to release this Eid-ul-Fitr.
The newly released teaser of *Aag Lagi Basti Mein* introduces Fahad Mustafa alongside Mahira Khan, Javed Sheikh, and Tabish Hashmi, who makes his feature film debut. The clip sets up a comic-drama, highlighting the distinct roles each character plays.
One significant detail revealed in the teaser is the appearance of Fahad’s father, Salahuddin Tunio, marking their first on-screen collaboration. Tunio confirmed his participation in the film, sharing that he has a brief role, describing the experience as both unique and emotional. “I have a few scenes in the film, and it was an emotional experience for me,” he said. Tunio also spoke highly of his son’s professionalism on set, stating, “Fahad is a superstar, but on set, he was completely professional.”
Tunio, however, kept his character’s details under wraps, adding, “It’s being kept a secret what kind of role I am playing. In film or drama, it’s not appropriate to reveal too much before the release,” and suggested that audiences should wait to see his role unfold.
Written and directed by Bilal Atif Khan, the film centers on Fahad and Mahira’s characters who discover that a woodcutter owns a chicken that lays golden eggs. In the teaser, the pair deliberates whether one or two eggs are enough, ultimately deciding to kill the chicken for a greater reward—only to face unexpected consequences.
