Heavy snowfall has caused the closure of Babusar Top Road and the Naran–Jhalkhad route, halting all traffic in the area. Authorities have advised travelers and tourists heading to Gilgit to take the alternate Silk Road due to hazardous conditions, including low temperatures and slippery roads.
In response to the extreme weather, Mansehra Police have removed check posts from Gatidas, Jhalkhad, and Besar to ensure the safety of their personnel, as the snowfall has made these areas inaccessible. Hotels and restaurants along the stretch from Barwai to Babusar Top have also been temporarily shut until the weather improves.
For now, authorities have confirmed that the route from Naran to Barwai remains open for travel, though travelers are urged to stay updated on the evolving weather conditions.
