Netflix has released the long-awaited trailer for Stranger Things Season 5, giving fans their first look at the final chapter of the hit sci-fi series. The trailer, which was accidentally leaked a day early, quickly went viral before Netflix officially launched it ahead of the show’s October 30, 2025 premiere.
The two-minute forty-second clip opens with Hawkins under quarantine, swarmed by Demogorgons and Demodogs. Dustin is shown struggling with isolation, while Mike and Eleven discuss the growing chaos consuming their hometown. Eleven appears determined to protect those she loves as Vecna’s dark influence resurfaces.
The footage shows Jonathan, Nancy, and the rest of the group preparing for one final battle. Hopper and Eleven are seen standing against storms of lightning in the Upside Down, while Mike vows to “find and end Vecna.” Emotional moments unfold between Dustin and Steve, and Lucas is seen carrying an unconscious Max in a desperate rescue attempt.
The trailer ends with a chilling twist—Vecna confronting Will and seemingly gaining control over him, implying that he may become central to Vecna’s plan to destroy Hawkins.
The fifth and final season will release in three parts on Netflix: the first on November 26, followed by a second on December 25, and the series finale on December 31.
