LAHORE: The third day of the Lahore Smart City Polo in Pink Cup, being held at the Lahore Polo Club, witnessed exhilarating action as teams Zacky Farms, Rijas/Din, Pebble Breakers, and Samba Bank recorded impressive victories in their respective matches.
The event, organised under the banner of Lahore Polo Club and sponsored by Lahore Smart City, drew a large crowd of spectators and families who enjoyed the thrilling polo encounters. Among the distinguished guests present were Lahore Polo Club President Malik Azam Hayat Noon, Executive Committee Members, and Secretary Maj (R) Amjad Ghafoor.
In the opening match, Zacky Farms outclassed Guard Group by 9–5½ goals. Star player Mumtaz Abbas Niazi was in outstanding form, scoring five brilliant goals, while Shah Shamyl Alam and Faisal Khan added three and one goal respectively. For Guard Group, which had a 2.5-goal handicap advantage, Arib Ali Malik netted two goals and Mustafa Aziz added one.
In the second match, Rijas/Din Polo delivered a commanding performance to defeat SQ Seagold by 8–4. The highlight of the game was Raja Samiullah, who dominated the field with six goals, while Mohib Shahzad and Sheikh Muhammad Raffay contributed one goal each. For SQ Seagold, Ibrahim Khalil scored two goals, while Nada Gharib and Muhammad Ali Malik added one apiece.
The third contest saw Pebble Breaker triumph over Chakor Ventures by 8–4. Abdul Rehman Monnoo led the attack with three goals, Mohsin Atta Khosa and Eleanor Tatiana Macaire scored two each, and Ahmed Ali Tiwana chipped in with one goal. Chakor Ventures received a two-goal handicap advantage, with Hashim Kamal Agha and Sarah Grover scoring one goal each.
In the final match of the day, Samba Bank blanked Black Horse Paints by 6–½, displaying remarkable dominance throughout the game. Saqib Khan Khakwani and Alman Jaleel Azam each scored two goals, while Mendoza Houben and Adnan Jaleel Azam contributed one goal apiece. Black Horse Paints failed to score and relied solely on their half-goal handicap.
