Khel Das Kohistani emphasises political stability, dismisses PTI’s protest potential

ISLAMABAD: Minister of State for Religious Affairs, Khel Das Kohistani, emphasized the crucial importance of political stability for Pakistan's future, asserting that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) lacks the public support and internal cohesion necessary to stage a meaningful protest.

In an exclusive interview with PTV News Channel on Sunday, Kohistani criticized PTI for failing to generate substantial public enthusiasm for its actions, describing a clear disconnect between the party's leadership and the people.

Kohistani pointed out that PTI’s influence has significantly waned, citing a lack of public backing and the party's internal divisions, with several former members distancing themselves from the leadership.

He suggested that instead of resorting to protests, PTI should opt for constructive dialogue to address political differences and work towards the nation’s collective interests.

The minister highlighted that political stability is the key to Pakistan’s progress and noted that major political parties—including JUI-F, PPP, ANP, and PML-N—are unified in their vision for the country’s future.

Kohistani’s comments underscore the broader consensus among these parties on maintaining political stability, urging PTI to align itself with this collaborative approach rather than furthering its divisive agenda.
