DERA ISMAIL KHAN: The Dera police launched a comprehensive search and strike operation across the district that resulted in the arrest of 98 suspects and the seizure of drugs and illegal firearms.
Police spokesperson said the operation was carried out following directives from District Police Officer Sajjad Ahmad Sahabzada and under the supervision of SP City Ali Hamza. The effort targeted proclaimed offenders and aimed to suppress criminal activities across various localities. Senior officers including SDPOs and SHOs led the operation within their jurisdictions.
During the operation, law enforcement teams conducted searches of 133 houses and detained 88 suspicious individuals for further investigation. Authorities recovered 1,018 grams of hashish, 350 grams of ice drug, six pistols, and 57 rounds of ammunition. Ten suspects were formally charged in connection with the possession of drugs and illegal weapons.
The police underscored that such operations would continue with full intensity to maintain public safety and dismantle criminal networks operating in Dera Ismail Khan.
