PAC refers Pakistan Post illegal hiring case to NAB

ISLAMABAD: The Public Accounts Committee (PAC) on Thursday directed the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) to investigate illegal appointments at Pakistan Post, highlighting serious recruitment irregularities beyond approved advertisements.

The PAC session was chaired by Junaid Akbar Khan.

During the meeting, the committee established a fifth sub-committee, led by Moeen Pirzada, to address longstanding audit objections.

While reviewing the Communications Division’s audit report for fiscal year 2023-24, the PAC expressed dissatisfaction over the absence of the National Highway Authority (NHA) chairman, who was reportedly engaged in another important meeting.
