LDA seals 161 properties in citywide crackdown on illegal commercial use

LDA intensifies crackdown on unauthorized commercial properties across Lahore

The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) sealed 161 properties on Thursday as part of its ongoing operation targeting illegal commercial activities across the city. Enforcement teams carried out raids in multiple areas including Gulberg, Faisal Town, Johar Town, Shadman, Samanabad, Gulshan Ravi, New Muslim Town, Main UBD Canal Road, and Allama Iqbal Town.

In Johar Town’s E1 and E2 Blocks alone, 35 properties were sealed due to illegal use and non-payment of dues, while 18 properties on Khayaban-e-Firdousi Road faced closure for unpaid commercial fees. Additional properties were sealed across other localities: 29 in Gulberg and Faisal Town, 47 in Shadman, Samanabad, Gulshan Ravi, UBD Canal Road, and New Muslim Town, and 32 in Allama Iqbal Town.

The sealed premises comprised a variety of businesses, including private schools, clinics, bakeries, grocery stores, pharmacies, restaurants, food outlets, workshops, shops, and offices. The operation was overseen by Chief Town Planners Asad Uz Zaman and Azhar Ali.
