Kate, narrating the video, shared, “Over the past year, nature has been my sanctuary. The natural world’s ability to inspire, nurture, and help us heal and grow is limitless, and it has been understood for generations.” She emphasized the deep interconnectedness of nature, the balance it provides, and its vital role in renewal and resilience.
In her reflection on Spring, Kate noted, “Spring is a season of rebirth, hope, and new beginnings. The world wakes up with new life, bringing with it optimism and the promise of positive change. Just as nature renews itself, so too can we.”
She continued, “Let us reconnect with nature and celebrate the new dawn within our hearts. From the smallest of seeds, great change can happen, and in today’s complex world, it is crucial that we hold onto what connects us all.”
The video ends with the uplifting message, “Spring is here, so let’s make the most of it together.”

Along with the video, Kate shared a message signed off with her initial “C,” which read: “This year’s Mental Health Awareness Week, we are celebrating humanity’s longstanding connection to nature, and its capacity to inspire us and help us to heal and grow in mind, body, and spirit. As we confront the challenges of an increasingly digital world, the connection between humanity and nature becomes even more vital. Mother Nature is a reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience, teaching us lessons that foster our growth and strengthen our bonds with each other and the world. C.”
The launch of this series coincides with the beginning of Mental Health Awareness Week, highlighting Kate’s long-standing passion for nature’s healing power. This initiative aims to underscore the importance of spending time outdoors for mental and physical well-being.

Kate’s dedication to promoting outdoor activities is evident in her previous projects, such as the Back to Nature garden at the 2019 Chelsea Flower Show. The garden was designed to encourage families and children to engage with nature. Her close work with organizations like the Scouts and her support for children’s hospices further reflect her commitment to ensuring that everyone, especially children, has the opportunity to benefit from nature’s positive influence on health.
The Mother Nature series will continue with editions focused on Summer, Autumn, and Winter, offering an ongoing celebration of the beauty and lessons the natural world has to offer.
