KARACHI: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is set to make a significant decision regarding the remaining eight Pakistan Super League (PSL) 10 matches within the next 48 hours, sources told Geo News on Sunday. This comes after the PSL administration began planning for the resumption of the league following the recent ceasefire between Pakistan and India.
The remaining matches are expected to be held in Rawalpindi and Lahore, with the final scheduled for Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium. However, sources indicated that foreign players may not participate in the matches due to their international commitments, with local players expected to feature in the upcoming games.
The PCB is keen to complete the season for financial reasons, and a plan is being considered to gather all teams in Islamabad, with the matches likely to be held at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. This follows the indefinite postponement of the remaining matches due to the escalating regional security situation, which disrupted the PSL’s schedule at its final stage.
Currently, Quetta Gladiators lead the points table, followed by Karachi Kings, Islamabad United, and Lahore Qalandars. Peshawar Zalmi remain in contention for the playoffs, while Multan Sultans have been eliminated.
