ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi held a follow-up meeting with Acting US Ambassador Natalie Baker on Friday, continuing discussions on the escalating tensions between Pakistan and India. This was the second meeting in 48 hours to address the current crisis.
During the session, Naqvi briefed Ambassador Baker on what he described as “drone terrorism” conducted by India, which has led to the loss of numerous innocent Pakistani lives. He emphasized that India’s actions constitute a clear violation of international laws and norms.
“The drones fired by India were intercepted and shot down by Pakistan’s armed forces,” Naqvi said, stressing that India is responsible for the growing tensions in the region. He warned that India’s provocations have pushed the region to the brink of war.
Naqvi reiterated Pakistan’s firm stance on maintaining sovereignty and safety, highlighting the country’s “zero tolerance policy” towards any threats to its territorial integrity.
US Political Consular Zachary Harkenrider was also present at the meeting, which aimed to further underscore Pakistan’s concerns and urge the international community to address India’s actions.
