ECC approves solarisation of 27,000 tube-wells in Balochistan

The Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) has approved the solarisation of 27,000 agricultural tube-wells in Balochistan, with an estimated cost of Rs55 billion. The project, aimed at enhancing the province's agricultural sector, will be jointly funded by the federal and provincial governments, with a 70% and 30% contribution, respectively.

The decision follows a directive from Prime Minister Imran Khan on July 2, 2024. The ECC meeting was chaired by Minister for Finance and Revenue Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb.
