Misuse of scholarships

Scholarships at the university level are aimed at providing opportunities to talented and deserving students for pursuing higher education without facing financial issues. Unfortunately, many of the financially deprived students miss this opportunity, while those from well-off families grab it by showing fake salary slips and other documents. And they spend the stipend amount on their luxuries. On the other hand, the needy students are unable to complete their education, and suffer from anxiety and depression. The universities should fairly and carefully evaluate the applications, and shortlist the most deserving students for such scholarships. No matter how much time it takes, the evaluation should be done after a comprehensive inquiry.
