Krishna Janmabhoomi Case: No relief to Muslim side, puja to go on 

ALLAHABAD: The Muslim side has knocked the Supreme Court challenging the Allahabad High Court order allowing the advocate commissioner to survey at disputed site.

The Allahabad High Court on Thursday allowed a plea to appoint a court-monitored advocate commissioner to survey the disputed Shahi Idgah premises adjoining the Sri Krishna Janmabhoomi temple in Mathura.

The main matter about the Krishna Janmbhoomi case was mentioned before a bench headed by Justices Sanjiv Khanna and SVN Bhatti on Friday. The top court refused to put a stay on the survey and will hear the matter on January 9.

The High Court bench, headed by Justice Mayank Kumar, said that the court will on December 18 decide who will be the court commissioner.

The application was filed in the pending suit before the high court concerning the Krishna Janmabhoomi-Shahi Idgah mosque dispute, by the deity (Bhagwan Sri Krishna Virajman) and seven others, claiming that Lord Sri Krishna’s birthplace lies beneath the mosque and that there are many signs which establish that the mosque was a Hindu temple.
