Seriously hazardous road

The Rawalpindi-Kohat Road needs attention. This single carriage road connects GT Road with M-1 Motorway and then proceeds to Attock, connecting the two districts of Rawalpindi and Attock. The journey from GT Road till Dhumma crossing is a true ordeal. The damaged patches often hinder the flow of traffic, and the closure of railway crossing at Tarnol adds to the misery. Also, Qingqi rickshaws and encroachments on the road lead to massive traffic jams. There are numerous schools, hospitals and residential areas along the road, and the absence of street lights poses a serious threat to commuters. The authorities concerned must look into the matter.
