There has been an acute shortage of medicines in markets across the country regardless of the fact that such a crisis is actually a matter of life and death. The stuttering national economy has made multinational pharmaceutical companies pack up, which is one of the causes behind the shortage of crucial life-saving drugs. Surely, it is the duty of the government to address the matter on an urgent basis. The policymakers need to make strategic plans to ensure that companies continue making lives easier by producing quality medicines rather than winding up their business in Pakistan.
