Punjab CM Naqvi announces new facilities for Chinese investors in FIDMIC

ISLAMABAD: Chief Minister Punjab Mohsin Naqvi Wednesday announced a series of new facilities and projects for the Chinese investors working in the Faisalabad Industrial Estate and Management Company (FIEDMC).

According to a report, CM Naqvi visited Faisalabad on Wednesday and addressed a special ceremony held in FIEDMC. CM Naqvi said that a club will be established in the FIEDMC as a gift for the Chinese friends while a 10-bed hospital under construction here in the FIEDMC will be completed in a few weeks.

He said the Chief Secretary of Punjab and his team are working hard to establish a One Window Operation Centre that will be functional by January and Chinese investors will be provided NOCs of different departments under one roof.

Mohsin Naqvi said the One Window Pilot Project will be launched simultaneously in Lahore and FIEDMC. The Punjab CM also announced that a branch of the Bank of Punjab will be set up in FIEDMC to facilitate the industrialists in the estate.

He urged the FIEDMC authorities to promote the agro-based industry, recycling of industrial waste, the weaving sector, and Chiniyot furniture export.

He thanked the Chinese authorities for teaching the Chinese language to 200 officers of the Special Protection Unit (SPU) of the police exclusively deputed for their security and said that the third batch of SPU is coming to learn the Chinese language. He expressed his gratitude to all the Chinese officials living and working in FIEDMC.
