Court refuses to issue Khan’s arrest warrants

ISLAMABAD: A local court in Islamabad has rejected a request from prosecutor to issue arrest warrants of Imran Khan Chairman Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) in a case relating to hurling threat at female judge.

Prosecutor Rizwan Abbasi requested the court to issue the arrest warrants which the court declined.

Sources learnt that pronouncing the reserved verdict on Thursday over Imran Khan’s plea seeking exemption from appearance, Judge Rana Mujahid Raheem granted exemption from appearance for one day.

The judge then adjourned the hearing of the case until February 13.
