Alarming situation

Just when flood victims were thanking their stars for being alive, they realised that the emerging health crisis is just as bad as the floods were. Dengue and malaria are rampant across the country but have escalated in the flood-hit areas. Dengue has become a health emergency to deal with. Moreover, the current shortage of basic medicines, like Panadol, is making things worse. The municipal authorities need to speed up the process of destroying breeding points of mosquitoes.
