Food festival enthrall tourists in Malam Jabba

SWAT: A two-day food festival was held at an altitude of 9,200 feet above sea level in the beautiful Malam Jabba Valley of Swat District. Tourists from all over the country enjoyed various types of food while enjoying the fascinating sights of the valley.

“Due to the heatwave in plain areas of the country, people have camped in the cold tourist destinations of Swat district. The management of Malam Jabba Ski Resort organized a colorful food festival for entertainment and enjoyment of the tourists,” said Malik Ashfaq, an organizer of the festival.

talls of traditional Chapli Kabab, delicious trout fish of the valley and many national and international cuisines were offered to the tourists including children who enjoyed the scrumptious food in the cold weather of Malam Jabba .

Bisma, a tourist from Lahore said that she ate a lot after coming here like kababs, tikka and they were so tasty and delicious, added they all enjoyed a lot.

“These kinds of events are very important for the promotion of our local culture. We should do more such festivals because delicious food in such beautiful places has its own charm and the beautiful weather is also enjoyed,” another tourist Rabia said.

Pakistan’s national qawwali Shahzad Santoo and his team performed the magic of their voice for the entertainment of the audience and tourists. The organizer of the festival, Malik Ashfaq, said that purpose of the festival was to organize such events for entertainment and refreshment of the tourists who come from all over the country. Some food stalls were set up in this festival and there was also a program of musical night as part of the festival. Apart from this, all kinds of basic facilities are also available to the tourists.

Tourists who came to attend the food festival took a chairlift tour after the hot food. During the almost one kilometer long chairlift trip, they captured beautiful glimpses of Malam Jabba and did not forget to save their memorable moments in the eye of the camera after reaching top of the valley.

Adventure aficionados made their fun memorable by taking a risky trip on the zip line.
